Dhaka was the first Windsor Liaison office opened abroad. Since 1997, more than 600 Bangladeshi students have gone to Windsor. Most have now graduated, and working in Canada, the United States, Europe and yes back in Bangladesh. Some continued studies and are doing Masters and Ph.D. programs, perhaps at Windsor or other leading universities are around the world. Many Bangladeshis who graduated from Windsor are also now passport holders and citizens of Canada.

The Bangladesh @ Windsor connection is a remarkable story. It started in our office which used to be inside BRAC. We are now located in a modern new office inside the new Hosna Centre in Gulshan.

Former University of Windsor President, Dr. Ross Paul, enjoying Bangladeshi hospitality at the Student Centre.

Whether you are an A Level student, an HSC graduate, or a university transfer student - if are bright, ambitious and serious about studies - Windsor is a great opportunity. The University's regular discussions with the Canadian High Commission means the Canadian government is well aware of Windsor's outreach in Dhaka. We've even had High Commissioners attend our information sessions.

International Relations

"Few universities in Canada offer this program. Int'l Relations at Windsor has faculty members including a former US senator, and former ambassadors to various countries. Our department also has two student clubs, tons of internship programs and research assistant job openings that allow international students to earn extra money and get useful job experience."

Eza Chowdhury

"The biggest challenge for me was familiarizing myself with the whole Canadian environment. I overcame it by taking the initiative to get involved with all the wonderful things the campus has to offer. I am currently the President of the International Students' Society and I am looking forward to a bright future after graduation."
