Windsor's outreach in West Africa made a dynamic move when it opened a Liaison Office in Accra. Already there are Ghanaian students at Windsor, and more are coming, as we are targeting ten new students for September 2006. Indeed, the Windsor campus has an exciting and growing West African community.

Mr. Dani Zaretsky is the University's frequent traveler to Ghana. He has visited a number of local schools from GIS to Lincoln Community to Rev. John Teye. He also enjoys traveling in Ghana, having traveled from Ho to Cape Coast, from Busua to Aflao.

Mr. Zaretsky also regularly meets with Canadian government officials to discuss how to better promote Canada, and ensure that genuine students going to Windsor can get visas. Mr. Zaretsky and Windsor Vice-President, Professor Neil Gold, were recently visiting at the Canadian High Commission in Accra.

While Mr. Zaretsky and Vice-President visit from time to time - Ms. Gifty Annan-Myers is in Ghana full time. She is an enthusiastic and diligent member of the Windsor team. Ms. Annan-Myers brings the energies and passion for Ghana as the head of the Ghanaian Rugby Association, to her work for Windsor.
