Welcome to International Students

On behalf of the University of Windsor, I want to welcome you. We are honored and delighted that you have chosen to come to our university, and we are committed to doing whatever we can to make your time here as rewarding as it can be. We encourage you to take every opportunity, both within and outside of the classrooms and laboratories, to be engaged and to contribute to the life of our community.

The University of Windsor welcomes students from many countries, and compared to other universities in Canada has one of the largest proportions of international students. Universities must always strive to take a global perspective, and to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and by you being here, the University of Windsor's ability to do that is greatly enriched.

We will make every effort to provide the services and support that you might need during your time here. Do not be afraid to ask at the International Students' Centre if you need assistance. I know that there will be a number of opportunities throughout the year for me to meet international students, and during those times I will welcome your reflections on the experience you are having at the University of Windsor.
