UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR - UNDERGRADUATE (BACHELOR DEGREE) APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. I am interested in applying to the University of Windsor. What do I do?

    You must complete the following process.

    Obtaining an application form

    If you are an international student, apply using our official one-page application form. For word version click here. Follow the instructions below. Be sure to e-mail us at intl@uwindsor.ca when you are ready to send your application. This will let us track your application and make sure everything is complete before you send it. Note that if you prefer to complete an on-line application form, click here. You will still need to send all required documentation indicated below and follow those steps in order to complete the process.

    If you live in Canada or the USA, please apply using the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) application form.

    Application forms can also be obtained from us via fax, email attachment as a PDF, or post. Please specify to us how to send it to you. Email us at: intl@uwindsor.ca

    Preparing a complete application

    Provide our office with the following items:

    1. All marksheets/transcripts from your last 4 years of high school and any university or college study that you have completed.

      If you are in your last year of high school, try to obtain your official mid-term results or "predicted grades" from your school If you are in university, provide your latest final grades, and a list of all courses in which you are presently registered. Any syllabus/course description available will assist the University in assessing your transcript for potential transfer credit/advanced standing. The syllabus should be the official English translations.

    2. Proof of English language proficiency.

      This may be through official TOEFL result, IELTS result, or through proof of several years study in the English medium such as in a GCE A level program or International Baccalaureate are also acceptable.

      The minimum TOEFL score required is 560 PBT (or 220 CBT with TWE of 4.5 or higher, or 83 IBT with a minimum written score of 20).

      The minimum IELTS score required is 6.5.

      The minimum CAEL score required is 60.

    3. Application fee of Seventy-Five Canadian Dollars ($75) or Seventy-Five United States Dollars ($75).

      Payment may be made by the following means:

      • Bank Draft/ Money Order or
      • Cheque provided by someone with a Canadian or US bank in North America
      • VISA or Mastercard

    4. Transfer Credit Assessments

      In addition to a secondary school transcript student transferring from either a college or university must provide an official transcript. There is a $50.00 CAD/USD evaluation fee for all transfer credit assessments. This fee can be paid as one payment of $125.00 CAD/USD (which includes the $75 CAD/USD application fee) to the University of Windsor.

  2. How do I send these items to you?

    Please send your complete application to the following address:

    • by courier or by a reliable national postal system to:

    We strongly recommend a courier service that is traceable in case your package does not arrive. We receive 1000s of applications every year. Regular mail cannot be traced.

    Never send your only original academic transcript or other key documents to the university, as they can not be returned. If you only have one original, please send a notarized/attested copy.

    We confirm receipt of packages as soon as we get them by sending an e-mail to the address listed on the application form. Be sure that the e-mail address is clear and accurate.
