KUMAR AND ANDREW BHATIA
Canada
U of W brothers - proud owners of multimillion dollar high-tech Company
What does the U.S. Navy, NASA, Lockheed Martin and Harvard University all have in common? They all buy their input/output circuit cards from Kumar and Andrew Bhatia, two brothers who graduated from University of Windsor’s School of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. The brothers have developed input/output circuit cards that enable a computer to manage more hardware and software.
For organizations such as NASA, computers that are large enough and fast enough to operate an aircraft and flight simulators are in great demand. The need for Kumar and Andrew’s product is strong enough that the two brothers are now operating a multimillion-dollar company.
Kumar and Andrew began their journey in University of Windsor’s computer classes where they helped set-up, what was at the time, new personal computers. This then turned into consulting work for the brothers. Now, they co-own their very own high-tech company, Axxon Corporation, with 35 employees and annual sales of $5 million.
Equipped with world-class education and motivation to succeed, Kumar and Andrew Bhatia have gained an international reputation for their input/output cards, which has been recognized as the predecessor of plug-n-play technology.
