Global Warming and the need for everyone to slow down emissions of
greenhouse is a burning issue for many concerned scientists, governments
and individuals.
Dr. Ming Zheng is doing his share to help find ways to develop cleaner
diesel engines at University of Windsor. He is the Canada Research Chair
in Clean Diesel Engine Technologies at the Department of Mechanical,
Automotive & Materials Engineering.
Dr. Zheng's research on designing energy-efficient engines may help
develop cleaner diesel systems with reduced exhaust emissions. He
co-founded an impressive Clean Diesel Engine Laboratory at the University of Windsor.
Dr. Zheng’s research has gained the attention and the financial support of
Ford Motor Company, International Truck and Engine Company, Imperial Oil,
the federal government and academic institutions.
Since its inception in 2003, the laboratory has received $1.6 million cash
awards and an additional million dollars in-kind contribution.
